Dr.
Jorge L. Arango graduated with a B.S. degree from the University of
Florida in 1989 and his M.D. degree in 1993. He performed his
Internship in General Surgery at the University of Florida College of
Medicine and his Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of South
Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Arango received specialized Fellowship
training in Vitreoretinal Medicine and Surgery from the University of
South Florida College of Medicine, where he received the prestigious
Fellow of the Year Award.
Dr. Arango is certified by
the National Board of Medical Examiners as well as the American Board
of Ophthalmology. He has been in practice since 1998 and holds medical
licensure credentials from Alabama, Florida and Texas.
Dr. Arango has studied and received grants in the field of diabetes
research and has been published in numerous ophthalmology magazines and
journals. He also lectures and performs presentations to groups in the
eye care field on a regular basis.
Dr. Arango and his wife along with their six children share an interest and love for horses.
