Dr. Christopher Fecarotta graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Honors College of Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY. He then received his Doctorate of Medicine from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. Dr. Fecarotta’s residency followed at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, where he was an associate editor of the Wills Eye Manual, 6th Edition. His Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus Fellowship was completed at Indiana University in Indianapolis, IN. Following Dr. Fecarotta’s training, he served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology & Pediatrics at Dupont Children’s Hospital, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, and Wills Eye Hospital. Before joining Eye Center South in 2015, he was at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, where he co-authored a book entitled, A Family Guide to Childhood Glaucoma and Cataracts.
Dr. Fecarotta’s professional memberships include the American Academy of Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Academy of Pediatrics, and the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. His primary clinical interests include the diagnosis, management and surgical treatment of all pediatric eye conditions, eye muscle and motility disorders, amblyopia, and pediatric refractive error.
Dr. Fecarotta and his wife reside in Dothan.
