Dr. Huang graduated from The University of Chicago, Chicago, IL, where she received her undergraduate degree in Biology and attended a Howard Hughes Research Fellowship. She then received her Doctorate of Medicine from Rush Medical College, Chicago, IL. Dr. Huang completed residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mt. Sinai, New York, NY. She then went on to do a sub-specialty fellowship at Doheny Eye Institute, University of Southern California, and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Before joining Eye Center South in 2015, Dr. Huang served as an Assistant Professor in New York, NY at the ICAHN School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York Medical College, and the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mt. Sinai. While at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mt. Sinai, Dr. Huang was involved in teaching medical students, training residents, translational research, and supervising the Pediatric Glaucoma service.
Dr. Huang’s professional memberships include the Cornea Society, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Her primary clinical interests include anterior segment, corneal diseases, cataract surgery in children and adults, amblyopia treatment, and eye movement disorders.
Dr. Huang and her husband reside in Dothan.
