  • Are You a Candidate for LASIK?

LASIK is a surgical procedure that is very effective in correcting nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism. In order to be a candidate for LASIK, a patient must have an adequately thick cornea with proper shape and healthy eyes. The best method of determining these factors is with a LASIK evaluation. Once a patient becomes a qualified candidate for LASIK the procedure may be scheduled. During the procedure, the patient and equipment are put into position and a laser is used to reshape the cornea. This laser greatly improves one’s vision in only a matter of seconds. After LASIK antibiotic eye drops are applied and the procedure is complete. The entire procedure often takes less than 30 minutes!

At Eye Center South we have Board-Certified Ophthalmologists who are highly qualified to help with your vision correction needs. If you would like to schedule a FREE LASIK evaluation with Dr. Bansagi, Dr. Marnix Heersink or Dr. Sebastian Heersink to see if you are a candidate for surgery,  please call our office today at 334-793-2211.
