Carole L. Johnson, M.D.
A native of Kentucky, Carole L. Johnson M.D., graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN, with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She received her medical degree with high distinction from the University of Kentucky College Of Medicine in Lexington, KY., where she was awarded the university’s academic excellence scholarship, and she was honored with early admission into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. Dr. Johnson performed both her internship in Internal Medicine and her residency training in Dermatology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC, and was chief resident in her last year of dermatology training. Dr. Johnson is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Alabama Dermatology Society. Prior to joining Eye Center South, Dr. Johnson was in private practice since 1993. Her primary clinical interests include the diagnosis and management of acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, warts, moles, skin tags and pre-cancers.
Dr. Johnson is married to Taylor Flowers and has one son, Caleb. She and her family reside in Dothan.
