Dr. Doug DeVore is an optometrist with extensive experience in comprehensive vision care, ocular disease management, and corrective lens prescriptions. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Illinois State University.

Throughout his decades-long career, Dr. DeVore has provided individualized eye care to patients across Illinois and Alabama. He has managed a full range of ocular conditions, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. His clinical work emphasizes patient education, precision in prescriptions, and maintaining lifelong visual wellness.

In addition to offering comprehensive eye exams, Dr. DeVore provides pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients and collaborates closely with ophthalmologists to ensure seamless care coordination. He is experienced in fundus examination, biomicroscopy, and advanced diagnostic imaging. Dr. DeVore’s approach to patient care combines clinical expertise with genuine connection—striving to create a comfortable, informative experience for every patient.

Outside of optometry, he and his wife live on a farm with two of their six children among a beloved group of dogs, cats and chickens.
