Your Vision. Our Mission.
Situated at the corner of Fortner Street in downtown Dothan, Eye Center South specializes in the surgical and medical treatment of eye disease.
With a team of physicians from all subspecialties of ophthalmology and a continued focus on adopting the most innovative technology, we offer patients the comprehensive medical eye care and surgery they deserve.

LASIK and Cataract Surgery in Dothan
Quality vision should be accessible to everyone, which is why we offer a range of advanced refractive and cataract surgery techniques to patients in Dothan. LASIK is one of the safest methods of refractive surgery on the market, with the potential to reduce or eliminate your reliance on corrective eyewear.
Eye Center South is renowned for being at the forefront of the latest methods in cataract surgery. If you’re suffering from a loss in visual quality from cataracts, our surgeons will talk to you about surgical treatment and help you customize your post-surgical vision using the latest artificial lens technology.

Oculofacial Plastic Surgery
We specialize in plastic surgery procedures in the orbital region of the face and around the eyes. These can be reconstructive, helping patients recover from severe injuries and accidents. They can be functional — for example, an upper blepharoplasty (eyelid lift) helps lift sagging tissue from your upper eyelid, reducing obstructions in your vision.
They can also be cosmetic. As the signs of aging start to show in your face, you deserve options to restore the youthful appearance that matches the way you feel! Our oculofacial plastics team can provide seamless procedures and natural-looking results, no matter your needs.

Glaucoma
The onset of glaucoma becomes more common as you age, but it can develop and progress to a serious point before you notice any changes in your vision. We’re proud to use technology that enables us to detect glaucoma earlier than ever and treat the condition before it has a chance to damage your ability to see clearly.
If treatment is needed, we have access to a wide variety of options at our disposal. Depending on the type, stage, and severity of your case, our glaucoma specialists can build a customized treatment plan made up of eye drops, laser treatments, and cutting-edge, minimally invasive glaucoma stents.
General Ophthalmology
As you age, your health changes, your needs change, and your eyes change. Medical eye exams are necessary for patients of any age because they involve tests and screenings aimed at detecting the earliest sign of a developing eye disease. With early diagnosis, we can build a plan to manage or treat any eye condition, like age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, and severe dry eye, before they can cause vision loss.
We also offer pediatric appointments for your children, because vision early in life is critical to healthy cognitive and social development.
