
Melanie Hill, O.D.
Optometrist
Dr. Melanie Hill is an experienced medical optometrist who has dedicated her career to caring for patients in Madison, Florida, and the surrounding North Florida/South Georgia region. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis in 1998, where she was active in leadership and service organizations and recognized as a Gold Key graduate. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Missouri–Columbia, where she graduated Cum Laude and participated in campus ministry leadership.
Dr. Hill began practicing optometry in Missouri before relocating to Florida, where she owned and practiced at Madison Eye Center from 2002 to 2014. She then continued providing comprehensive eye care in Madison with South Georgia / North Florida Eye Partners and later with Eye South Partners through their Madison location. Her clinical career reflects a long-standing commitment to continuity of care and community-focused optometry.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Hill is actively involved in her church and community in Tallahassee. She has served in leadership and teaching roles at Faith Presbyterian Church and participated in a medical mission trip to Guatemala in 2024. She has also supported youth sports and the arts through service with the Lincoln Home Plate Club, the Florida Optometric Association Medicaid Committee, and The Tallahassee Ballet.
Dr. Hill and her husband live in Tallahassee with their two children and family dog. She enjoys outdoor activities such as snow skiing, fishing, and summer beach trips and is an avid baseball fan with a particular fondness for the St. Louis Cardinals.
