It’s secondary to a decrease in the amount of tears, increased loss of tears, and never-ending inflammation, which causes a decrease in the quality of tears. All of these factors add to a poor tear film. In order for your eyes to be functioning properly, they require a healthy tear film and without it, you will not see your best.
