Dry Eyes and Winter Months

Chronic dry eye is a problem for many individuals that can often become very uncomfortable. As many who struggle with this condition are aware, it has the tendency to worsen in the winter months.  This is because during winter months the air is much drier than in summer months. Also, during winter months, many people use heating devices, which can worsen the condition of chronic dry eyes. Some symptoms of chronic dry eyes are burning, blurred vision, and feeling like you have something in your eye. In order for your eyes to be functioning properly, they require plenty of moisture.

If you feel that this may be a problem for you, we suggest that you schedule a dry eye evaluation. Dr. Sebastian Heersink at Eye Center South has various ways of diagnosing and treating chronic dry eye to meet the needs of each individual patient. If you would like to make an appointment with Dr. Sebastian Heersink for a dry eye evaluation, call our offices today at 334-793-2211 to see what the Eye Care Professionals of Eye Center South can do for you.
